Main Street Dental

Dr. Shakiba has been a god send by helping me care for my teeth. I have just moved to the area and a colleague refered me to main street dental and he told me to see Dr. Shakiba. It has been a couple of years since I've seen a dentist and I've been apprehensive. I have had some problems on my two lower right crowns and knew they needed some work. After a well needed consultation we decided on my treatment and he performed two root canals and crowns on me. The whole process was so smooth and I didn't feel a thing. My crowns fit great and I can finally chew with ease on my right side. No pain at all!! I highly recommend visiting Main Street Dental and scheduling with Dr. Shakiba.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Javaherri for many years for a very good reason. Seldom is there a service organization that combines a truly warm, welcoming environment with superior industry expertise. Everyone who works there is committed to giving the best customer experience possible. We do all our routine maintenance, fillings, implants and Invisalign treatment, and have never experienced a problem along the way. Dr. J's practice is one you can fully trust that they have your best interests in mind.

Horrible customer service by front desk. We've had 2 visits at this location for our 89 year old dad. First visit was great (of course, they want business and money). Actual procedure went fine. Dr. Shakiba and his assistant were great (no complaints about them). Here's where it went WAY south. When we were leaving (around 2:30pm) we were told that their other doctor (not in office) would call in a prescription for our dad, and it would be ready in about 2 hours at Walmart. We left and dropped our dad off back at his place (about 15-20 min away), got him settled, etc, and then headed out a bit later to check on the prescription. We checked around 4:05pm, and nothing had even been SENT IN to ANY surrounding Walmart locations. I called the dental office, talked to the front desk at 4:06pm and she said she would check and call me right back. At 4:43 I called to check in since I didn't get a call back. No answer. I called again at 4:47pm. Again, no answer. Their phone service sends an auto reply text if they miss your call, which says you can text back to them. I sent texts at 4:49pm, 4:56pm, 5:11pm, 5:22pm, as well as another call at 5:09pm (yes, I totally realize this is a bit psycho, but when you're waiting for nearly 2 hours with no replies or prescription in the Walmart parking lot - you get pretty desperate and annoyed. Especially since your dad is 89 and risking infection would NOT be good). My sister had even tried from her phone around 4:50pm as well, AND I sent an email. NO ANSWERS. We asked the pharmacy to double check and see if the prescription had finally been sent in (around 5:10pm). Still nothing. Nothing at any nearby locations either. We rushed back to their office (online it says they don't close until 5:30pm) since we had been getting completely ignored. We showed up at 5:25pm, and they were already locked up and closed, everyone gone (if they close earlier, they need to change their hours online). We never received a call or info with a prescription being ready. My sister called the pharmacy at 9:00am this morning when the pharmacy opened and they JUST got the prescription THIS MORNING, so the girl said it had to have been sent AFTER the pharmacy closed last night (which is 7pm!!) or later. Clearly nowhere within the "2 hours" they told us. We do not live nearby our dad (my sister lives in Temecula), so it's NOT convenient to just go back to Oceanside/Vista and pick it up today and bring it to him (all in all would take even the closest of us 1-2 hours to do all of that), especially when we already spent 5 hours dealing with all of the dental visit and waiting around for a prescription yesterday. All in all, this office needs to have another person (on site) who can send prescriptions in a timely manner, OR not tell people "about 2 hours" if it's going to be the NEXT DAY (we wouldn't have sat around waiting/hoping it would be sent in, not to mention get stuck in commute traffic due to the time). The absolute worst part is them completely ignoring and ghosting our calls, texts AND emails for help. Very unprofessional and zero help once they have your money. Looking at other reviews, it looks like I'm not the first complaint about the front desk. We should have looked before going. Will not be back, and do not recommend to anyone (Dr. Shakiba and his assistant should move to a location that actually knows what they are doing).

My girlfriend couldn’t eat abs was in such pain. Dr J he’s so compassionate and it’s such a great dentist that he was able to set her up within three days to get her tooth out and give her payment pain medication and set us up on a procedure to 40 Nana and a plan for her tea I recommend everybody go here
